Gleaming nickel silver fittings coupled with select hardwood or cork spacers highlight this series. If you desire the finest, plan on building your freshwater rod with these components. Depending on the model, our nickel silver reel seats are provided with decorative knurling in 3 options: Diagonal, Diamond, and our signature Rope pattern. All reel seats come standard with impregnated hardwood spacers. Extra-select hardwood, burl, and stabilized burl wood is offered as an option. Reel seats may be ordered with or without spacers. |

All aluminum components are anodized to meet rigorous military and industry standards wihich means our components will last a lifetime ... in fresh or saltwater. Most "Classic Series" seats come in your choice of Pewter, Black, Champagne, Nickel Silver anodized colors. The nut, slideband and hood feature a functional decorative knurl. REC offers an extensive selection of hardwood spacers which are hand- crafted and inspected for precise metal to wood fit and finish. In general, REC spacers are given several coats of a natural oil finish which ensures that the wood is protected from the elements beyond a mere surface finish. This finishing method allows the spacer to be touched up to the original luster after extended use. Note that most REC reel seat spacers come standard with a mortised slot. Our hardwood is hand selected for consistent color, exceptional grain, and beautiful figure. Our impregnated woods are custom produced to REC's specification for color, strength, and density. Exotic and impregnated woods are hand buffed using natural oils only. Select burl and stabilized burl woods are available in many species and shades. |

REC imports only the finest grades of cork direct from Portugual. The "Flor" grade represents the highest quality and "Super" is exceptional by any standard. REC hand turns its grips to obtain an extremely smooth finish. Grips may be ordered in either our standard "Super" or "Flor" grade as an option. Our broad range of styles and lengths offers a grip choice to meet every angling need. As a service to our customers, REC manufactures grips for all of our uplocking reel seats with the appropriate milled cork rings attached. REC also offers individual rings, including the pre-milled rings, for those who wish to turn their own grips. |
